A perfect way to start the week with this little cutie Eddie, we spent the morning with a little walk, hiding treats in his snuffle mat, and playing with his favourite toys with free range of the house and garden and of course having a good old nap! 🐾
“Together we can achieve anything”
This week Buster has conquered getting into the van by himself! This still took a bit of time but he was confident to get in, with the help of a few treats, an apple, a stick and me getting in the back! But he did it! Great job buddy!
Keeping things cool
It’s been a very hot and humid couple of weeks at the beginning of August this year and here at Homer’s Hounds we’re making sure we take extra precautions to keep our furry clients happy and cool, as demonstrated by Tilly our oldest customer and Buster our youngest! Make sure to keep your dogs in the shade, making walks shorter and where possible find flowing water for them to take a dip. On walks make sure you carry water with you, but if in doubt don’t go out and play at home where you know they can keep cool easily and going for walks later in the evening when it’s cooler.
A leisurely stroll
On an overcast humid day, Tilly and I decided to take a stroll around the New Forest and take a little dip in the water. Tilly is 13 years old, so being an elderly dog we only walked as far as she wanted/could. If you have an elderly dog we can make sure their needs are taken care of in a calm, no rush manner but still ensuring they get a variety of our beautiful surrounding environment or if you simply want them to have some company during the day we offer 1 hour home visits.
A Windy walk
Welcome to Casper joining our cute little customers going for a very blustery walk along the the sea wall in Lymington, taking in the fresh sea breeze.
Rainy walks
Introducing Buster our newest and youngest client, a 6 month old, fox red Lab. We had our first walk together in the rain but that certainly didn’t stop us!
Weekend walks
Taking a weekend stroll with our lively and photogenic furry friend Brody at Hurst Spit on this gorgeous weekend. If you need your dog walked or looked after while you have weekend plans where your dog can’t join in the fun and don’t want them left at home alone, please don’t hesitate to call us to book them in for your required services.
